lead time most important

I believe supplier lead time is most important.

Either we need to understand supplier lead time or help the supplier to better manage lead time.

From my experience I've found that many suppliers have no clue how to reduce their lead time. They don't even know the elements of lead time eg que time, set up time etc.

I believe that a simple question when selecting supplier would show how far suppliers know their lead time process:

Please show us how do you determine your lead time/what are the factors/elements that make up your lead time?
